Alison Watson
My name is Alison and I am 24 years old.
I am a responsible, fun and outgoing person that loves working with children of all ages.
Although I do not have childcare qualifications, I have done lots of babysitting over the years and have also worked and volunteered with children. Coming from a big family, I absolutely love being with and working with children. To add to my experience, I also currently live with a family that have two young boys aged 3 and 7.
I am confident with children of all ages, with experience of working with newborn babies through to teenagers. I also have experience working with children with challenging behaviour and disabilities.
I have carried out work experience in a French primary school and previously volunteered at a group called Bright Sparks in Hemel Hempstead, which encourages learning through play. Whilst at university I worked on the government run 'Aim Higher' scheme which encourages children from under privileged backgrounds into Higher Education. This evolved organising activity days for groups of children and teenagers both on the university campus and at schools in the South West of England. Also as part of the Aim Higher project, I helped run residential Summer Schools at the University of Bath.
Given my previous experience I am looking to babysit for children of any age. I currently work 9.30 - 5.30 but I am extremely flexible outside of those hours.
I am also looking to tutor children English/French and would be more than happy to combine this with childcare/babysitting - I have a degree from the University of Bath in International Business and French and have spent numerous periods of time living in France. I have previously tutored English and would be interested in tutoring both French children in English and English children in French.
As I have previously worked with children I have been fully CRB checked in the past and I am also happy to provide references on request.
