I commenced my employment here on a voluntary basis to ensure my son became fully integrated within his local school environment. My son had only come to England in May 2008 and his English was none existent prior to starting at school. My job was to translate for him. Whilst providing translation services I ensured my son was working to the best of his abilities and began to help with other children in the class. Due to the successful support I was providing in class. In January 2009 I was offered a paid position within the school. Working with other children with language difficulties integrates fully both socially and academically on a part time basis. My duties include compiling learning, assessing the abilities of the children and ensuring we maximize their potential. I was also asked to provide both written and verbal communication on behalf of the school/teacher with parents of the children. Whilst I enjoyed this work and found it very rewarding.

General Manager of a Children’s Home
I had responsibility for up to 60 children at any given time. This facility was to provide child care and a fun, safe environment for children play whilst parents conducted certain daily chores. My duties included; dealing with each child’s specific needs, cash handling, book keeping, organization of daily parties, ordering products for the facility, registration of all children and contact details of parents, opening and closing of the facility and ensure facility met all safety codes. I also had to compile and deliver a report every month to head office on my own site. It was senior role and I enjoyed the challenges it brought.
